Philipp Gufler, BECOMING – RABE, 8:30 min, 2016Στο έργο αυτό ο Gufler επικεντρώνεται στον περφόρμερ-καλλιτέχνη Rabe Perplexum που έζησε στο Μόναχο (1956 - 1996), ενώ μιμείται ή υπονομεύει τις στιλιστικές συμβάσεις που χαρακτηρίζουν τη δεκαετία του ‘80. Το βίντεο-περφορμανς προέρχεται από αρχειακή έρευνα και περιλαμβάνει τα πρωτότυπα σκηνικά αντικείμενα και κοστούμια που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν από τον Perplexum. Συνδυάζοντας αυτά τα διάφορα δραματικά πρόσωπα ο Gufler δημιουργεί μια ποιητική μίμηση, μια μη γραμμική ερμηνεία, του αντικειμένου του.

“Reality Through Fiction” is the result of a collective conversation on how we conceive, perform and construct the real through continuous recourse to  the fictional.

Having Circuits and Currents as a starting point, the exhibition will extend along Tositsa Street and the vicinity. It will also extend to virtual spaces online, live performances and radio broadcasts.
A two-day conference will examine the intrinsic interplay of fiction and reality in the fields of literature, visual arts and new technologies.
